Cortnee helps athletes to identify the source of trouble, build understanding about how they respond in those situations, and empower them to be in control of their game. More importantly, She provides athletes with a space that is all theirs to process and work through the things they are struggling with.

For so many athletes the love of the game is no longer there. The confidence they used to show up with has turned into doubt and worry. The struggles they face, the politics that happen, and the injuries they endure can leave them feeling like they are failures, disappointments, and, alone.

Cortnee’s passion is helping athletes find their way back to that love or leaving the sport they once loved. Providing support, knowledge, and a place to talk about things without any judgment. That their well-being is more important than what the scoreboard says.

Her specializations are in helping athletes manage performance anxiety, work through mental blocks, slumps, and build strong mental consistency in and out of their competitions. There are three key areas that athlete struggle in. Anxiety, mental blocks and confidence.

We asked her, “Why does she do this?”

She answered “I was born and raised in Texas and have been a lifelong athlete. Growing up I played it all, competing in AAU basketball, travel softball, gymnastics, and flag football to name a few. I wanted to compete in everything I touched. In High School, I continued to be a multi-sport athlete lettering all four years in four different sports. Softball had always been something I was just naturally talented at and continued my athletic career into college with it. I was a catcher, shortstop, and center fielder, as well as a right-hand hitter and slapper.

After college, I wasn’t done competing and ventured into fitness-bodybuilding competitions and played women’s arena tackle football for a few years.”

She’s a natural at the game and utilizing techniques to help Athletes. Her passion for helping athletes comes from knowing what it feels like to love stepping onto the field, court, or track.

She has a degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University-Kingsville and a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. She is a certified personal fitness trainer and certified mental strength coach.
